The fourth quarter of the year is gift-giving season for many. In our family, with birthdays in every month from August through January, our gift-giving season starts early. I love this time of year partially because I love shopping for and wrapping special gifts for others. It’s a very hands-on way of letting someone know their presence in my life is meaningful. I’m always on the hunt for a gift that carries a little meaning, something intentional.

Since 2005, Venue Ballard has been home to over 300 artists and makers all from Washington State. When you walk into this beautifully light and airy boutique tucked into historic downtown Ballard, you are welcomed by color and light. From the massive canvases and large sculptural pieces to specialty tea towels to fine jewelry to chocolates, everything you see was crafted by a local artist. Like, a real human you could meet. Sometimes, right there in the store.
